Acutus is the overall name, but there are at least six recorded versions in Britain:-ACVTVS, ACVTIO, ACVTIOS, ACVTII, ACVTO and the abbreviation - ACVT. An incomplete stamp could read either [AC]V.T.o or [AQ]V.T.o.

Acutus 1 is used for dies in a formal style for the version ACVTVS.

DATE 10BC-AD15. Haltern provides the main dating evidence with end date between AD 9 and 15.
DISTRIBUTION KHL (2) - identical so likely part of same consignment; Braughing (2); Sheepen I (2) - V229 said to be from a Period I Context; Kelvedon (1); Haltern; Ubbergen, TR Cam 5; Trier (TR1) TR1C small platter (2).

Die 09H01 occurs at Haltern and so it was used before AD15. Here it is the most common of all Acutus' dies with seven examples all on TR platters. Its absence from Sheepen II and the Stanway Cemetery is significant for the chronology of those sites.
